GALVIN GREEN'S RECYCLED MATERIALS

By incorporating recycled materials in our products, we can reduce the use of natural resources, which in turn results in lower consumption of water and energy in our manufacturing process.

Synthetic materials, such as polyester, have many beneficial properties and are commonly used in technical apparel. Polyester fabric is usually made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) and it can be recycled from both industrial and post-consumer waste, such as plastic bottles. Using PET bottles as a feedstock for polyester fabrics provides a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to virgin PET.

To achieve full transparency and traceability, our recycled materials are GRS-certified (Global Recycle Standard). The Global Recycled Standard is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content, and labeling.

Although recycled polyester is an important step in reducing the use of natural resources and greenhouse gas emissions, there is more to be done to achieve a circular economy. Among the most important things you can do as a consumer is to use your garments for as long as possible. That’s why we create high quality apparel that can withstand the test of time.

By using Galvin Green garments made from recycled materials, you are part of the movement toward a circular economy.
