This means that we absorb new knowledge, adapt our production methods and ways of working, and demand our suppliers and partners are compliant. But perhaps most important of all – we focus on creating quality products that last a long time and give the golfer maximum joy and benefit during our garments’ lifetime.

Our products and industry require responsible choices at every stage of the development process. We produce apparel made from functional materials that leave as little social and environmental footprint as possible. Here, we rely on third-party certified materials, where an independent party guarantees that the materials live up to the stringent requirements. The fabrics and materials we use are primarily managed through the Bluesign® and Oeko-Tex® certifications. In addition to our use of materials with recognized certifications, we are also committed to incorporating recycled materials wherever possible. These materials are GRS certified (Global Recycle Standard which is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product.)
Synthetic materials, such as polyester, have many beneficial properties and are commonly used in technical apparel. Polyester fabric is usually made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) and it can be recycled from both industrial and post-consumer waste, such as plastic bottles. Using PET bottles as a feedstock for polyester fabrics provides a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to virgin PET.
To achieve full transparency and traceability, our recycled materials are GRS-certified (Global Recycle Standard). The Global Recycled Standard is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling.
Although recycled polyester is an important step in reducing the use of natural resources and greenhouse gas emissions, there is more to be done to achieve a circular economy. Among the most important things you can do as a consumer is to use your garments for as long as possible. That’s why we create high quality apparel that can withstand the test of time.

THE BLUESIGN® CRITERIA
The Bluesign® system guarantees the highest degree of assurance to consumers and ensures that the fabrics/materials were manufactured with responsible use of resources and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment. The Bluesign® criteria is very stringent in terms of the amount of water and electricity used in the process of manufacturing fabrics, as well as the addition of chemicals approved in the European Union or authorised worldwide.THE OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
In 2021, Galvin Green adopted the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® to the VENTIL8™ PLUS shirt collection. The globally recognised label certifies that each component in the shirts – every thread, button, zipper and other accessory – has been independently tested for harmful substances and that the item is completely safe in human ecological terms.
