The GORE-TEX fabric with C-KNIT backer is engineered to be lightweight, stretchy and comfortable to wear. The fabric is constructed with three different layers that are laminated together. On the outside sits a tight knitted polyester layer with a soft hand feel. In the middle is the GORE-TEX membrane and on the inside close to the skin is the innovative C-KNIT backer. The C-KNIT backer is an extremely thin and soft mesh, weighs only 20gr/m2, and creates a superior next-to-skin comfort and a ‘slide & glide’ effect to reduce friction with garments worn underneath.

GORE-TEX MEMBRANE

The GORE-TEX membrane contains over 1,4 billion microscopic pores per square centimetre. These pores are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule. This makes the GORE-TEX membrane completely waterproof from the outside, while allowing moisture to escape from the inside.


All the different GORE-TEX fabrics are durably waterproof. They must pass an extensive wash/wear test cycle without degradation of their superior properties before being approved for production with the GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ promise.


This makes garments in GORE-TEX fabric extremely long-lasting, and therefore an excellent sustainable choice.


GORE-TEX SEAM SEALING


All GORE-TEX garments are fully seam-sealed. The seams are covered with a GORE-TEX tape on the inside of the membrane to make sure that the garments are 100% waterproof. The tape is attached with a special machine using hot air and a hi-tech adhesive. Depending on style, a jacket needs between 12-15 meters of GORE-TEX tape to seal all the seams.

  • Machine wash warm, with similar colours.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Tumble dry medium heat, remove promptly.
  • Iron at medium temperature 150°/300F.
  • Do not dry clean.
  • Do not iron on print.
  • Keep away from fire.

Best golf jacket I’ve ever owned

I went one size bigger to allow for wearing layers underneath. Make sure you measure your chest with a tape measure to get the correct size.

Can’t believe how light weight it is and so comfortable when swinging to club. Bit expensive but worth every penny.

Satisfied Customer

Only used in light showers and have remained completely dry. Have every confidence in experiencing same results in downpours. If jacket lasts 5 years + it will be worth the price paid. The jacket also allows you to play well with no apparent restrictions .

Outstanding jacket

The new stretch materials are a step beyond the traditional GOR-TEX materials but I did find the fitting is tighter across the chest/shoulders, so I went up a size to give me enough movement. Great product and is darker than the pictures suggest. The first (darker) photo is more representative of the actual colour.

DISAPPOINTED

The jacket is fine BUT after just 16 months and only one winter the inner lining developed some holes. Unable to determine how the holes occurred and no evidence of impact damage as the outer material was fine and appeared new. Jacket returned to GG and although they patched the area they would not accept that there was a defect in the lining material. I regret not fully examining the jacket when first bought but when you spend over £450 on a jacket you assume it to be perfect. GG have failed to own up to the fact that the jacket was not made fully to their high standards. The type of “suspected wear” has not appeared on any other of my golf jackets one of which was an Abacus and is still like new.
