As the Brand Manager, Nicholai Stein is the person responsible for how Galvin Green is being perceived globally. The delicate task includes everything from directing the orientation of the product development, to ensuring that the right core values are associated with the products on the market.
How would you define the brand DNA of Galvin Green?
Galvin Green is all about passion. It is a brand by golfers for golfers, which means that it is our love for the game that drives us forward. Innovation, quality and technical performance is at the heart of our business. We strive to be the golfer’s best friend and a trusted partner.
What characterizes product development at Galvin Green? Product development here is team work. A dedicated team of golfers going all the way to see what they can innovate and do better. Important ingredients are passion, honesty, self-criticism, frustration, and of course – success.
What do you consider to be the major milestones for the company? I believe an important milestone is the very idea behind the brand. The idea of how to maximize the golfers level of comfort without compromising on the elements that affects the game. All the innovation that still takes place today is about our fulfilling the legacy of this profound idea.
”We never compromise” is the brand tagline. How do you live it? A world without compromise would not be a pleasant place to live, meaning that “We never compromise” is a hard statement. For us as a brand, cutting corners in research & development, fabrics, technology, distribution or partners would be compromising on the very idea our brand is based upon, i.e. our future. And we can’t let that happen.
How would you describe the concept of ”The serious golfer”? A serious golfer is not defined by income, age or golf handicap. It doesn’t matter if you have played for 2 months or 25 years. It's your passion and interest that makes you a serious golfer. It is these dedicated individuals that we want to attract and invest in.
