In some of the waterproof jackets and trousers in GORE-TEX fabric, we use a lining on the inside for added warmth. The lining creates an extra layer of air between the GORE-TEX fabric and the body that is warmed by your body heat to give a warming effect.

MEMBRANE

The GORE-TEX membrane contains over 1,4 billion microscopic pores per square centimetre. These pores are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule. This makes the GORE-TEX membrane completely waterproof from the outside, while allowing moisture to escape from the inside.

All the different GORE-TEX fabrics are durably waterproof. They must pass an extensive wash/wear test cycle without degradation of their superior properties before being approved for production with the GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ promise.

This makes garments in GORE-TEX fabric extremely long-lasting, and therefore an excellent sustainable choice.

SEAM SEALING

All GORE-TEX garments are fully seam-sealed.

All GORE-TEX garments are fully seam-sealed. The seams are covered with a GORE-TEX tape on the inside of the membrane to make sure that the garments are 100% waterproof. The tape is attached with a special machine using hot air and a hi-tech adhesive. Depending on style, a jacket needs between 12-15 meters of GORE-TEX tape to seal all the seams.

Machine wash warm, with similar colours.
Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
Tumble dry medium heat, remove promptly.
Iron at medium temperature 150°/300F.
Do not dry clean.
Do not iron on print.
Keep away from fire.

Fantastic jacket

Fantastic jacket. Worn for the first time a few days ago and great how waterproof and wind proof it was. I’ve been thinking about making the investment for a while and thoroughly pleased I did. I also received many compliments of the design & style. The trousers are next
