Team Galvin Green star Alexander Björk rediscovered his form in spectacular style to finish second at the British Masters at Walton Heath last weekend and move up to 12th in the Race to Dubai.
The talented Swedish golfer handled the wet playing conditions brilliantly to challenge local hero Eddie Pepperell all the way during an exciting final round. He ended just two shots behind on -7 - while only 15 players finished on 2-under or better, including host Justin Rose.
Making his debut in the event, Alexander began the final round wearing the ANGELO full-zip waterproof GORE-TEX® PacLite® jacket with stretch fabric, before switching to the LANCE Interface-1 hybrid jacket over the closing holes.
“I’m really proud of myself,” he said. “The way I fought it today, never gave up and just kept going. I’m very pleased. It was just one guy beating me… another weekend it’s a win.”
Alexander, who claimed his first European Tour title at the Volvo China Open in April, gave a tremendous putting display to take this season’s prize earnings to almost double those of last year at €1.8m.
