The Official Supplier of Weatherwear to Europe’s Ryder Cup Team at the 2018 Ryder Cup in Paris is providing its award-winning clothing to a total of 19 men’s professionals across the PGA, European and Challenge Tours in 2017.
One of these players is Alexander Björk, who is attached to the brand’s home golf course, Vaxjo GK. Björk will play his first full season on the European Tour after finishing seventh in the Challenge Tour rankings last year. He seems to have adapted very well to life on the main Tour, having already enjoyed a top ten in his first few starts and currently sitting 23rd in the Race to Dubai standings. 2017 will be Bjork’s eighth season representing Galvin Green and the brand is clearly very close to his heart. "Galvin Green is the best golf clothing you can get on the market and perfect for the changing conditions we face on tour. I am proud to wear Galvin Green products and since they are based in my home city, it’s a perfect match!"
Björk will join other Team Galvin Green stars wearing the latest clothing technology including PGA Tour winner Troy Merritt, the European Tour’s Ricardo Gouveia, Chris Paisley and Daniel Im, plus Challenge Tour players Morten Orum Madsen, Gary Boyd and Guido Migliozzi.
"Once again Galvin Green is supporting talented young golfers we see as having a big future in the game and we’re very excited about their prospects for the current season," said Greg Pearse, Managing Director for UK & Ireland. "We have really pushed the boundaries of clothing technology to provide the ultimate comfort for our professional players in any weather condition they have to contend with on Tour," he added.
The enhanced player line-up also corresponds with Galvin Green’s most advanced product offering to date, with new technology across four different product types. "We felt the best way to showcase the exciting new technology was to increase our presence on the Tour and we are really looking forward to working with more players than ever before," said Tom Burlison who looks after Galvin Green’s Sports Marketing.
