Team Galvin Green member Alexander Björk put in a strong performance to finish tied-third at the European Tour’s Trophèe Hassan II tournament at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, Morocco yesterday.
The 27-year-old from Växjö – the home of Galvin Green – hit four birdies during the final round to finish on 6-under, two shots behind French winner Alexander Levy and one shot back from Spain’s overnight leader Alvaro Quiros. Björkended the day tied in third spot with fellow Swede JoakimLagergren, Finn Mikko Ilonen and Italian Andrea Pavan.
Alexander began the last round in warm temperatures of around 20°C with consecutive birdies, but was unable to maintain the form he showed the previous day when collecting six birdies over the back nine.
However, he has now moved into 25th spot on the Race to Dubai and is tipped to be a contender in several Tour events this year.
